It's not even wireless! junk and overpriced
Less than 6 months in and only one probe works still. Base unit shuts off all the time while cooking.
I'm using this thermometer on my first cook. Everything works as advertised. The range is great and the probes are all working well. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that the LCD is fairly dim but a little bit brighter after I touch one of the buttons. It can be read indoors but is almost impossible to read outdoors in direct sunlight. It is still difficult but possible to read in the shade. I think this unit would be better with a clear background with dark characters. Also, the receiver could be flat on the bottom so it would stand up on a table
It doesn't work properly, I've been fighting with it since our purchase. Canadian Tire will not refund my money, I won't be buying large items from there anymore. We also have an umbrella purchased that day and it doesn't work I am afraid to even try and return it.
Upgraded last summer from the masterchef, nothing but regrets since. The unit auto sleep function is indeed functional as the bottom section loves to turn itself off. From the get go I've never has confidence in the readings, wildly inconsistent from one probe to another to the point of putting two probes in a similar oart of the cut to have 35+ (f) degree variances in temperature. Final nail innthe coffin for this unit, just pulled it out for first use in a few months and the top unit has lost its charge and will not take a charge now. Less than a year of mediocrity and it's now garabge. Will look up warranty info but i barely care, it's been a bad experience.
Got so much more out of a unit 1/3 of the price.
